The United States House of Representatives Wednesday night voted massively to impeach President Donald Trump for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power related to his dealings with Ukraine.

Two articles of impeachment were passed over his behaviour in the Ukraine scandal, one for abuse of power and the other for obstruction of Congress.

The issue will now be passed to the Senate, where a trial will be carried out to determine whether to convict and remove Mr. Trump from office next month.

Reacting to his impeachment on Twitter, Donald Trump shared a poster of himself with the inscription : ‘IN REALITY, THEY’RE NOT AFTER ME THEY’RE AFTER YOU, I’M JUST IN THE WAY.’

Trump, who has denied any wrongdoing, took the stage at a Michigan rally earlier as the House began voting on impeachment and said : ‘They’ve been trying to impeach me from day one.”

“After three years of sinister witch hunts, hoaxes, scams, tonight, House Democrats are trying to nullify the ballots of tens of millions of patriotic Americans.”

President Trump further called on his supporters to “vote the house speaker, Pelosi out of office.

“Americans will show up by the tens of millions next year to vote Pelosi the hell out of office,” Trump added.

Donald Trump is now the third president in the history of the United States to be impeached after Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.

Trump has Mocked Democrats for Impeaching him. He established his Confidence in the Senate by believing that the “Senate will do the right thing” When brought the politically motivated Charges against him.

It is an established fact that a historic trial in the Senate is expected to begin early next year, giving senators the final say on whether to acquit the 45th president or convict and remove him from office. Until the Senate dismisses Trump, He still remains in Office. Meanwhile the acquittal and retainment of Donald Trump in power as President of the United States by the Republican-controlled chamber is very likely possible.

It is true that US President Donald Trump was impeached for abuse of power in a historic vote in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. This result has now set up a trial in the Senate on removing him from office and until the Senate rules, Trump remains in Office.

With an eventual vote of 229 to 198 in the Democratic-controlled House, the 45th US president could become the third occupant of the White House in American history to be dismissed if the Senate fails to upturn the house verdict.
